Welcome to the Pipeline

A robust and sustained pipeline of TB drug candidates and discovery programs is essential for succesful development of new TB drug regimens.

About the 2009 Pipeline

To populate the drug pipeline portfolio, we seek to gather projects which fall into three categories: discovery (late stage discovery specifically: hit to lead and lead optimization), preclinical and clinical phases.

This pipeline survey is open to the entire TB R&D community belonging to public and private institutions.

Instructions for the survey

  • Kindly note that the project-related information provided in the survey will be made publicly accessible. Contact details of individuals will not be published.
  • The TB community will greatly benefit from receiving comprehensive information regarding the drug discovery pipeline; however, we understand the constraints in providing all the details and hence, many questions are optional.  Please provide as much detail as you can.
  • We urge organizations and collaborators to appoint one person (e.g: study chair, PI, project manager) to complete this survey and to provide updates.
  • First time registrants and their new project submissions will be reviewed by the WGND Core Group.  Registrants will be notified by email.
  • You can save a draft of your submission and return to complete the survey. Please retain your username and password so you can gain access to the site for making updates on your saved or published projects in the pipeline.
  • We recommend you to refer to the definitions of different phases (Discovery, Preclinical, Clinical - click for more information) for detailed guidance and clarification.
  • Please complete one project section for each project in the late discovery (only hit-to-lead or lead optimization projects), preclinical or clinical phase.
  • For clinical projects undergoing multiple trials, if possible, please provide information on all the trials of a candidate sponsored by your organization.
  • Please include all projects that address new chemical entities, new indications for existing drugs or new trials of currently available anti-TB drugs.
  • Kindly note that the planned pipeline report for the 2009 survey will focus on specific chemical entities and will NOT include early exploratory, formulations or immunology-based research, such as drug delivery technologies, immunomodulators, and high through-put screening campaigns.
