Statement:

Experience in drug development programs including preclinical work through phase IV and from perspectives including the government, USG, Big Industry, non government organizations,NGO, Clinical Research Organizations, CRO and Academia provide me high motivation and interest to assist in the Working Group on New Drugs. The cross collaboration of the Subgroups will be important and my background experience may be helpful. The mission of the Clinical Trials Capacity Subgroup aims to identify, highlight and address issues in the clinical trials of TB drug while corresponding to the aims of the WBND. I am suited to identify challenges, to address regulatory issues, to promote collaboration and communication while also identifying clinical trial sites and establishing selection crieria. My programmatic, clinical, scientific, managerial and advocacy expertise can be utilized. The collaborative aspects and understanding of drug development from inception to world wide regulatory approval provide a background to see this as an exciting endeavor and I am always pleased to contribute to a group as this who has vision and is also merging realistic processes toward an aim. My current position within the Division of AIDS may also provide an advantage for participation toward the aims of the Working Group on New Drugs.
