The situation of the MDR tuberculosis today worries the sanitary authorities of the whole world, mainly in the developing countries, where the situation is more severe. The increasing of resistant strains makes urgent the search of new synthetic or natural tuberculostatic drugs. The New Drugs Research against Tuberculosis (TB) is the major line of research of our laboratory of the College Pharmacy – UNESP/Brazil. In partnership with national and international inorganic and organic laboratories, we have as goal the discovery of active promising compounds against Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
