Presently, I am working on identification of drug targets against tuberculosis with Prof G. S. Besra at University of Birmingham. In past 4 and half years of my active research in the TB field I am able to work on 9 research papers on different drug targets in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. I wrote few reviews and a book chapter in the subject area which are about to publish. Furthermore, I am regular participant of Acid-Fast club meeting organised by leading researchers in the field in UK and attended few international conferences and summer school on infection and immunity. In addition, I also made a documentary on TB research carried in University of Birmingham which has been selected for British Science Festival 2010. By keeping all this in mind, I feel that I am worthy of consideration as a member in the working group on new drugs.
