My MSc ( medicinal chemistry) research work involved screening of some selected phytocompounds for in vitro anti-TB activity. six of the fourty compounds screened were more potent than some of the current first line TB treatment drugs. Latter i screened crude extracts of a herbal product that has been administered by a local herbalist in TB treatment. the invitro activity of the extracts was unbelievable; better than that of all first line drugs.
